Interdisciplinaire sociale wetenschap

I am a PhD student at the Department of Interdisciplinary Social Sciences and a member of the European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic Relations (ERCOMER). I obtained my Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Social Science at Utrecht University in 2022, and subsequently completed the Research Master Migration, Ethnic Relations and Multiculturalism (MERM) in 2024.

My research interests include group identities, ethnic and religious identification, and intergroup relations. In my PhD project, I investigate the prevalence as well as the positive and negative consequences of country ownership perceptions of first and second generation immigrants.
