Profiel

Utz Weitzel is Professor of Finance and Financial Markets at the Utrecht University School of Economics and Professor of Experimental and Behavioral Finance at the Radboud University Nijmegen. His research areas include behavioral finance, experimental finance/economics, and corporate finance; published in, amongst others, The Journal of Finance, The Economic Journal, Journal of Risk and Uncertainty, Games and Economic Behavior, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Economic Psychology, Journal of Theoretical Biology, and Entrepreneurship, Theory and Practice. After his school education in Namibia, he studied Economics and Business in Germany (Universities of Augsburg and Bonn) and in Great Britain (University of Reading), followed by a PhD at the Humboldt-University Berlin, and a post-doc year at the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management (USA). Next to his affiliations as professor at Utrecht University and Radboud University, he is director of the Society for Experimental Finance and was a research affiliate at the Max Planck Institute of Economics in Jena (Germany).
