Gabriëlla graduated from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU) with a master's degree in Communication Science. After graduating, she started working as digital marketing consultant and advised companies on how to use customer data to boost their sales. Currently, she is a PhD Student at Utrecht University and researches the social effects of human-chatbot communication. Under the direct supervision of Charlotte van Hooijdonk and Florian Kunneman (VU) and promotors Hans Hoeken en Hedwig te Molder (VU), she is working on the ‘Smooth Operators: Research on personalized conversational agents in customer service’ project.
