Devita is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Governance at Utrecht University. Her research project is about the effectiveness of Indonesia's deradicalization program as measured by its ability to obliterate radical ideology on the one hand and restore convicted terrorists' acceptance for the rule of law and democracy on the other. Therefore, the focus of the research is to understand the experiences of convicted terrorists participating in the deradicalization program and how it affects the terrorists’ perception of the rule of law and democracy.
