Caia is lid van het European Network on Statelessness (ENS), het Nederlands Juristen Comité voor de Mensenrechten (NJCM), het Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research (NNHRR), Open Council of Europe Academic Networks (OCEAN) en de Staatsrechtkring. Zij is tevens lid van de redactie van EHRC Updates en Utrecht Law Review (ULR).
