Clara Vlessing is a lecturer in Literary Studies and English Language and Culture. Her research interests lie at the intersection between memory, gender, life writing and social movement studies. In June 2023 she defended her PhD "Remembering Revolutionary Women: The Cultural Afterlives of Louise Michel, Emma Goldman and Sylvia Pankhurst", which was part of the ERC project ReAct (Remembering Activism: The Cultural Memory of Protest in Europe). Clara is a postdoctoral researcher on the NWO NWA-ORC project Heritages of Hunger at Radboud University.
