The Huizinga Instituut (Landelijke Onderzoekschool voor Cultuurgeschiedenis) is the National Research Institute and Graduate School of Cultural History. Our goals are to provide high-quality academic education for PhD researchers and Research Master (ReMA) students, to optimize the research culture and environment in which they operate, to provide a platform for national co-operation in cultural history research and to act as a sounding board, contact point, agency and international bridgehead for cultural history in the Netherlands.

Annelien Krul is the coordinator of the Huizinga Instituut. In this capacity she coordinates the national curriculum for PhD candidates and Research Master students. Furthermore, she supports the director, school board and curriculum committee in organizational and policy matters.
