Alissa loves fieldwork, and is passionate about bringing the richness of the field experience to all students. She has been spearheading construction of several interactive Virtual Field Trips (iVFTs), and researching their efficacy in cultivating open-ended problem solving and logical reasoning skills, through support from the Utrecht Education Incentive Fund. Currently we are building iVFTs to an ophiolite in Canada (Mont Albert), and high-temperature metamorphic terrane in the Eastern Pyrenees (Cap de Creus).
