I am a PhD Candidate at Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) and part of the Utrecht University Center for Global Challenges (UGlobe). I visited the Development Innovation Lab at University of Chicago in Spring 2023.

My research interests are in development economics, specifically education and gender. Current projects in my dissertation fall into two research areas: one regarding the impact of intra-household conflict and decision-making on household outcomes; and the second around fostering soft/non-cognitive skills for boys and girls to improve education outcomes. In my research, I use randomized control trials in field-settings as well as lab experiments. My current projects are based in Pakistan, Kenya, Ethiopia and Uganda.

I have a Research Master's degree in Multidisciplinary Economics (cum laude) and a BSc. in Economics and Business Economics (cum laude) from Utrecht University School of Economics.
