Once you have been (conditionally) admitted to a Master's programme at Utrecht University, you need to address a number of practical matters.

Payment of your tuition fee

Read more about how and when you can pay your tuition fees.

Upload Student ID card

You will receive an Utrecht University Student ID card. For this card we ask you to upload your passport photo (pdf). You can do so as soon as you have received your university email address.

Housing, bank account, etc. for international students

International students will receive information from the International Office on how to arrange the necessary practical matters (e.g., housing, a Dutch bank account, health care insurance, visa etc.).

Confirm your place in the programme

We will send you a link to a confirmation form by email, asking you to either confirm your place in the programme or decline it. You must confirm your place before the 1st of June.

This is a condition for acceptance. If you fail to confirm your acceptance of our offer by this date, you will forfeit your place in the programme and your application in Studylink will be canceled.

Course registration

Before the start of the Master’s programme, you need to be registered for courses. In the second half of May, we will send you information about the course registration for semester 1.

In July, you will receive an invitation for the Humanities Master's Orientation Days organised at the beginning of the academic year.

International students will also receive an invitation for the UU Orientation Day. Part of this programme consists of support and advice regarding practical matters, such as your registration with the city.
