Fenella Fleischmann works as Associate Professor of Interdisciplinary Social Science at the European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic Relations (ERCOMER), Utrecht University. Born and raised in Germany, she first came to Utrecht to study Migration, Ethnic Relations, Multiculturalism (MERM) and graduated from the programme in 2007. She received her PhD from the universities of Utrecht and Leuven (Belgium) for her dissertation on the relation between religiosity and integration among Muslim minorities in Europe.
