Serre

The Serre is a popular location on the Utrecht Science Park. This versatile room in our Tropical greenhouses is used for receptions, drinks, family days, team building sessions, lunches, training courses, lectures and workshops. The room has a botanic character and has an adjoining private terrace. You can reach the Serre from the main entrance of the Greenhouses or, in special occasions, from the back entrance of the Gardens (Harvardlaan 10) via the private terrace.

Availabiltiy

The Serre can still be rented daily until Sunday 1 December 2024. From Monday 2 December through Friday 13 December 2024, the Serre can only be rented on weekdays (for example for your Christmas drinks reception!). Next year, the Serre will be available daily from Saturday 1 March 1 through Friday 18 July 2025.

Capacity

The standard setup of the room is 40 guests café style. If a different setup is desired, you can move around the tables and chairs yourself or consult with our reservation team whether this can be arranged. There may be additional costs involved. Afterwards, you must leave the room in its standard setup. 
The Serre measures 11 x 12 meters, so 132 square meters.

Drinks receptions

You can rent the room at a special drinks receptions rate between 4.30 PM and 7.00 PM. For more information or in case of any questions, please fill in the application form.

Catering

Our caterer Botanica Catering provides delicious coffee and tea, delicacies, lunch, drinks, a buffet or BBQ. The Serre can be rented in the evening when your group is at a minimum of 25 guests and not without the use of our caterer. Rachel de Groot and Berry Dirven from Botanica Catering are happy to think along with you about the possibilities for your event and they make a personal offer.
