On this page you will find the opening hours of the University Library Utrecht Science Park and the University Library City Centre.
Utrecht University Library open again
Both locations of Utrecht University Library are open again from 11 May onwards.

Different opening hours in May
The University Library Utrecht Science Park and the University Library City Centre are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on:
- Thursday 14 May, Ascension Day
- Sunday 24 May, Whit Sunday
- Monday 25 May, Whit Monday
The Department of Special Collections in the University Library Utrecht Science Park is closed on these days.
Regular opening hours
- Monday to Friday: 8 am to 10.30 pm
The service desk is open from 9 am to 10.30 pm - Saturdays and Sundays: 10 am to 10.30 pm
The service desk is open from 10 am to 10.30 pm - Public holidays: 10 am to 6 pm
Opening hours exam periods
Before the exam periods, we have longer opening hours so that students can prepare for their exams.
- Monday to Thursday: 8 am to 12 midnight
- Friday & Saturday: 8 am to 10.30 pm
- Sunday: 8 am to 12 midnight
- Public holidays: 10 am to 6 pm
Special Collections opening hours
The Special Collections Reading Room at the University Library Utrecht Science Park:
- Monday to Friday: 9 am to 5 pm
- Saturday and Sunday: closed
