By bicycle
You can easily reach our location by bicycle. The entrance to the underground bicycle parking facility is located in the courtyard on Wittevrouwenstraat.
There is an easily accessible bicycle parking facility at street level on Keizerstraat. Here you can park your cargo bike or other model bicycle, for example.
By public transport
Train
From Utrecht Central Station, it takes about twenty-five minutes to walk to the University Library City Centre. By bicycle (OV-fiets), it takes about five minutes.
Bus
The nearest bus stop is at Janskerkhof. It is a five-minute walk to the University Library City Centre.
By car
On Wittevrouwenkade (4-6) you will find a disabled parking space where you can park with a disabled parking permit. There are also two spaces available at Lucasbolwerk (9-10). From both locations, it takes about five minutes to get to the University Library City Centre.

Other drivers can park their cars in the car park on Kruisstraat. It takes about ten minutes to get to the University Library City Centre.
Our main entrance is also accessible to wheelchair users. The revolving door is large enough and next to it you will find a normal door that reception staff can open for you. Our entrance on the courtyard on Wittevrouwenstraat is also wide enough for a wheelchair, but has two heavy doors.
There is an AED at the service desk. It is located on the right-hand side as you enter through our main entrance on Drift.
Our all-gender toilet is located on the ground floor.

On the first floor, you will find our disabled toilet in zone A, on the side of the main entrance on Drift. This toilet has a baby changing area.
Our city centre location has two bicycle parking facilities.
The underground parking facility can be accessed via the entrance on Wittevrouwenstraat and is located under the square. This bicycle parking facility has space for seven hundred bicycles. From the basement, you can walk through to the library. This parking facility has the same opening hours as the library.
Our second parking facility can be accessed via Keizerstraat. It is located at street level and has space for over three hundred bicycles. You can also park cargo bikes and other model bikes here. You can walk to the library via a gravel path that runs through the garden. This bicycle parking facility is open every working day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. This parking facility is closed on weekends.
Our location in the city centre also has a Campus & Facilities Service Desk. You will find it at the reception desk and you can contact them with questions about audiovisual equipment, the campus card, catering, but also about Wi-Fi, printers and UU computers. You will find coffee, sweets and soft drink vending machines in our buildings. You can pay with your debit card.
Employees can use their employee cards at the coffee machines.
Students and staff can book a limited number of study spaces with fixed computers. You can also borrow a laptop.

Use
The computers have temporary memory that is cleared at the end of the day. It is therefore important to ensure that you save the files you are working on regularly and carefully. You can learn more about saving and sharing files on the Student Site.
Taking a break?
Please log out and take your belongings with you so that other visitors can also use this study space. After a 20-minute break, you will be automatically logged out and the computer will be available for someone else to use.

Borrowing a laptop
Students, staff or alumni of Utrecht University can borrow a laptop from the service desk on presentation of a library card. Students and staff can find their library card in the MyUU app. You can only use this laptop in the building. You must return the laptop to the service desk no later than fifteen minutes before closing time.

There are three disabled toilets in our building in the city centre.
From our main entrance on the ground floor on Drift, turn left immediately towards Espressobar Lodewijk. Then turn right and continue straight ahead. When you can no longer continue straight ahead, turn right and you will find the toilet immediately on your right. The route to this toilet is also indicated by signs.
A second disabled toilet is located in the Grande Galerie on the first floor. From our main entrance on Drift, go straight ahead. You will pass the reception, the access gates, and the service desk. In front of the chapel, you will find the lift on the left. Take the lift to the first floor. The toilet is opposite the lift.
The third disabled toilet is located in zone A, on the side of the main entrance on Drift.

In our building in the city centre, you will find a machine where you can return cans and bottles and donate the money to charity.
You will find Espressobar Lodewijk at our city centre location. From our main entrance on Drift, turn immediately left.

Do you require first aid? Please report to reception or the service desk.
Our first aid room is located on the second floor in room 2.21. This room is locked and only accessible with an XS pass.
Room 2.21 contains a lactation room. You can access this area via a member of staff at reception.
There are two lifts in our building in the city centre. The first lift is located immediately to the left of the main entrance. It takes you from the ground floor to the level where you will find the disabled toilet, the Voorkamer, the Eetkamer and the Kabinet van de Koning. If you want to take the lift to the first or second floor, you will need an access card.
To reach the second lift, go straight ahead from our main entrance on Drift. You will pass the reception, the access gates, and the service desk. The lift is located on the left side in front of the chapel.
In our building in the city centre, you will find lockers opposite the reception where you can store your belongings. The lockers are automatically opened at the end of each day. You are responsible for removing your belongings from the locker before the end of the day.
You will also find vending machines with care products in our buildings.
