UU Journal Browser
During your research, start thinking about the journal you want to publish in. Do you have a preference? Use the UU Journal Browser to see if, as a UU author, you can publish open access here for free or at a discount and under what conditions.
First check if your research funder has open access requirements, before finding a journal. Team Publishing Support can help you with this.

Publishing OA at a discount
Discount deals are also called open access deals or publisher deals. These discounts can be up to a 100%. They can apply to both gold and hybrid open access journals. Diamond open access publishing (in full OA journals), is by definition free for the author.
DOAJ information
In the UU Journal Browser, open access journals also include information from the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Here, you will read about the publication process, the journal's open access guidelines and any costs (APCs) associated with OA publishing.
No impact information in UU Journal Browser
You cannot search or sort by impact information in the Journal Browser. This is because we judge research and researchers based on the quality of research. And not just on the basis of quantitative indicators, such as number of publications and citations or the impact factor of the journal in which the researcher published. This new way of valuing is in line with our vision of Open Science and Recognition and Rewards. We signed the DORA declaration to endorse this vision.
Trusted publishers
All journals listed in the UU Journal Browser are from reliable publishers. But, please note: discount agreements with publishers do not guarantee the scientific quality of a journal. Are you interested in a journal that is not listed in the UU Journal Browser? Then read how to recognise reliable publishers and predatory publishers.
