UBUlink
The UBUlink appears in the search results of various search engines. By clicking on the UBUlink, you can see whether the university library provides access.
How to recognise the UBUlink:
When will I see the UBUlink?
Open a search engine via a link from our website or via the A-Z Search Engines. For example, Google Scholar or PubMed. Search for a publication within that system. The UBUlink will then appear automatically in the search results.
Please note: the UBUlink does not appear in all search engines. Therefore, it's best to install Lean Library. This will give you automatic access to the library’s collections anywhere on the internet or provide you with links to (open access) alternatives.
How does the UBUlink work?
Clicking on the UBUlink opens WorldCat. Here, you can see whether you have access via the library.
It links to the full online text
Check for links labelled ‘View full text’ under ‘Full text availability’. Does the library not provide access? In that case, you will see: 'We were unable to find direct full text links for this item'.
It links to a printed book or journal in WorldCat
Does the library have a physical copy of the publication in its collection? If so, you will see the heading ‘Print copies at your library’. Click on the link below it: ‘Check holdings in WorldCat’, and search for a physical copy in WorldCat.
