Access to the digital resources of the university library from home

Students and employees of Utrecht University can consult digital scientific sources online, also from home.

Here's how to access these resources

Access to material from the physical collection

The university library in the USP will open on the 25th of May for staff and students of the UU and UMCU. From the 20th of May they can request library material through WorldCat*. Please select the pickup location ‘University Library Utrecht Science Park’ as this is the only location that is open at this moment. You will receive a notification per e-mail with information on when the requested material will be available for pick-up.

Receiving material by post will remain available for staff and students who urgently need the work and can’t come tot the library. For pickup location please select the option ‘Send by mail’. It may take several days before the requested works will be posted.

*Requesting material looks slightly different, look at our information and tips on requesting material through WorldCat.

Consulting the Special Collections by appointment

Material from our Special Collections can only be consulted in the reading room on appointment. Request the title(s) of your choice in WorldCat and for pickup location please select ‘Special Collections’. We will contact you to make an appointment.

Borrowing from other libraries

Interlibrary loans are cancelled until further notice. This means that you cannot borrow materials from other Dutch (and foreign) libraries.
