Library card

With a library card, you can borrow materials from Utrecht University Library.

Library card for UU staff and students

Students and staff will automatically find their library card in the MyUU app. The card is free of charge and valid for as long as you work or study at Utrecht University.

Library card for guests

Guests can also apply for a library card. The library card costs 50 euros per year, unless you meet the conditions for a free card. Before applying for a library card, you will need a guest account. Activate your account at the university library desk. Bring valid ID and, if applicable, proof that you meet the conditions for a free library card.

Renewing the guest library card  

The library card for guests is valid for one year. You can renew (and pay for) a new year at the desk. Please bring your ID again and any proof that you meet the conditions for a free card. Before renewing your library card, you must first renew your guest Solis ID.
