One Book One Campus

One Book One Campus is a reading event for all students and staff at Utrecht University. We read the same book, meet other readers and share our experiences. Reading pleasure and encounters are key.

In 2025, we read the exciting eco-thriller 'Birnam Wood' by Booker Prize winner Eleanor Catton and organised the Night at the Library festival for the first time in the University Library City Centre. Anton de Kom's book 'We Slaves of Suriname' was read in 2024 and Bernardine Evaristo's 'Girl, Woman, Other' in 2022.
