Both workshops can be held in Dutch and English. The workshops last 1.5 - 2 hours. Participants bring their own laptop.

Workshop Trash or Treasure? Thrift shopping for Open Educational Resources

In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to find OERs. For example, course manuals, knowledge clips and open textbooks. After the training you will know:

  • what to expect when searching for OERs;
  • where and how to search;
  • how to assess the quality of the materials you find.

More and more educational content is shared online. Searching for OER is just like a thrift shop: sometimes you can find rare and valuable treasures, other times you might stumble upon trash. What will you find this time?

Workshop Metamorphosis: the transformation of an Open Educational Resource

In this interactive workshop, you will learn to improve open learning materials before putting them online. After the training you will know:

  • what preconditions open learning materials must meet;
  • how to avoid infringing copyright;
  • what Creative Commons licences are and how to use them for your own OERs;
  • how to find copyright-free images;
  • how to share material on Edusources.
