We are delighted to invite library staff to join us at Utrecht University Library for our International Staff Training Week, taking place between 4 and 8 November 2024.
University libraries today are navigating the challenges of new technologies, continuous digitalization, and evolving needs of researchers and students. These advancements impact every facet of the library's operations. Throughout the week, we will delve into this year’s subtheme ‘Open, FAIR, and Sustainable,’ exploring how libraries can adapt and thrive in this dynamic landscape.
Utrecht University Library takes great pleasure in fostering the exchange of knowledge and experiences on a diverse array of topics, including:
- Open Educational Resources;
- Linked Open Data;
- FAIR data;
- Sustainable access.
The programme will feature presentations from Utrecht University staff, participant-led presentations, and interactive sessions. Attendees will have valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, learning from one another, and actively engaging in enriching discussions.
We warmly invite applications from dedicated professional library staff currently employed in universities or other research-oriented libraries, who can contribute their expertise on ‘Open, FAIR, and Sustainable’ practices in the library context. Applicants are encouraged to share insights into their ongoing projects, their alignment with the program’s objectives, and their expectations for the training experience.
