The Faculty Club supports … new talent
We are proud to introduce ‘Faculty Club Supports’: an initiative through which committed members invest in the future of education, science and society. Each year, we support a social cause that is closely aligned with Utrecht University’s mission.
Honours Trajectum Utrecht (HTU)
This year, the Faculty Club is supporting the Honours Trajectum Utrecht (HTU) – a special programme run by Utrecht University for inquisitive and motivated pupils in Years 2 and 3 of HAVO and VWO in the city of Utrecht. Together, we are helping to ensure equal opportunities in higher education and encouraging the development of young talent in Utrecht.
Equal opportunities in higher education. Investing in equal opportunities.
For equal opportunities in higher education
Not all young people grow up in an environment where going on to higher education is taken for granted. HTU focuses on students who lack direct role models in higher education – talented, ambitious and inquisitive young people who could do with just that little bit of extra encouragement.
A first step towards science
Every week, these talented young people head into the city centre, where they are introduced to the world of science, either on the Kromme Nieuwegracht or during field trips. Under the guidance of enthusiastic lecturers and students, they follow an interdisciplinary programme organised by all seven faculties of Utrecht University. They develop their language skills, enhance their research abilities and discover their place in the academic world.
Join the ‘Faculty Club Supports’ initiative
Through ‘Faculty Club Supports’, you can make a direct contribution to equal opportunities for a new generation. Together, we are building a fairer and more inclusive education system – and giving young talent from Utrecht the platform it deserves.
