Wim Kremer is professor Farm Animal Health in particular Education at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht University. Currently he is program director of the Bachelor Clinical Sciences; A new, innovative and interdisciplinairy program which prepares students for several master programs, especially the Medical master (SUMMA), Master pharmacy and the master Veterinary Medicin.

Wim is veterinarian by training. After graduation Wim worked for more than 20 years as a Farm Animal Health practitioner the first year in a private practice and later on as practitioner and lecturer in the Ambulatory Practice of the Faculty of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Utrecht. He worked in patient care, teaching, and research related to Farm Animal Health. During his carreer with great pleasure he was teacher in different roles, from classroom teaching, clinical teacher to course leader and Director of Education. His research resulted in a PhD degree on bovine mastitis in 1993 (title: Polymorphonuclear Neutrofil Chemotaxis and Bovinve Mastitits. Wim was registered as Diplomate of the European College of Bovine Health Management in 1999.

Focus on education
From 2007 Wim developed an increasing interest in development of professionals in relation to trends in society and professions and the consequences for academic education. His research focus shifted to educational research. From early in his career Wim had an excellent track record concerning innovation of Education, for example redesigning the bachelor and master program Veterinary Science. From June 2012 to May 2019 Wim was director of education and vice-dean of education of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and member of the board of the faculty. These days he is involved in setting up the new interdisciplinary bachelor program Clinical Sciences & Society.
