Stefano Lugo is Associate Professor of Finance at Utrecht University. His research mainly focuses on Corporate Finance and on Institutional Investors. His work has been presented at several conferences--including the EFA annual meetings--and it has been published in (among others) the Review of Finance, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, the Journal of Corporate Finance, the Journal of Banking & Finance, and the Journal of Financial Stability.
At the Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) Stefano currently serves as the program coordinator for the MSc in Financial Management, the principal contact person with the CFA Institute, and the coordinator of the bachelor minor in International Business Economics. In the past he served a 2-year term as the Head of the Finance Section of the department and a 7-year term as a member of the U.S.E. research board.
Stefano holds a PhD and an MSc from Politecnico di Milano and has been a Recognized DPhil Student at the University of Oxford (Saïd Business School) and a Visiting PhD Student at the University of Oklahoma (Price College of Business). He is also a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of the Netherlands.
