Manuscripts from the Treasury

Special Collections houses 750 medieval manuscripts and a number of them are considered real 'masterpieces.' Five manuscripts are so unique that they deserve a place in the Treasury. Some have a specific national or international value, others are invaluable for Utrecht University.

The Pontificale of St. Mary of the charter of the Utrecht St. Mary's Church is very beautifully illuminated by the Master of Catherine of Cleves and the monumental Zwolle Bible has impressive statistics.
