Costs when using Yoda
This information is for Utrecht University and affiliated Yoda users only. Please check the Yoda webpage of your own institution for the costs when using Yoda at your organisation.
Yoda is available starting 4,00 euro (€) per TB of stored data, per month. Starting from 2026, new changes are introduced to pricing: different amounts apply to different cases, for example depending on how old your data is, or whether if it's stored in Vault space or Research space. See the table below for more information.
Please note that your faculty could already be covering the costs for using Yoda. Get in touch with your faculty contact person to confirm. They can be found on this page.

For research data safety reasons, Yoda automatically replicates your data files to a secondary UU datacenter location. Furthermore, it keeps prior revisions of small data files for the duration of several weeks to allow you to restore work in case you have accidentally deleted a file. As a result, the charged amount of stored data is typically about twice the size of your research data files.
