Dr. Koen Beumer
Dr. Koen Beumer is an Assistant Professor at the Copernicus Institute for Sustainable Development. He studies the societal implications of science and technology and is interested in the impact of innovation on (economic) inequality. Empirically he focuses on agriculture, especially in India and Africa.
He obtained his PhD at Maastricht University and previously worked at the Dutch Advisory Council for Science and Technology Policy (AWTI), Maastricht University, the University of Amsterdam, and the University of Groningen.
