Dr. Kleoniki Pouikli
Dr. Kleoniki Pouikli is an Assistant Professor in EU law and Sustainability. She holds a Master II in Public Law from the University Assas Panthéon-Paris II (2010-2011) and a PhD in Environmental Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (2012-2016). She also obtained an Executive Master in European Studies from the University of Gothenburg (2024).
Kleoniki’s research encompasses various aspects of EU environmental and climate law, including waste and circular economy, environmental liability, and air pollution. Additionally, she focuses on cross-cutting sustainability issues such as sustainable trade, green public procurement and green Artificial Intelligence.
Kleoniki is also an Adjunct Lecturer in Environmental Law at the National and Kapodestrian University in Athens, whereas she is also Associate Editor in the Journal for European Environmental & Planning Law (JEEPL). She actively participates in conferences and regularly publishes in international and national journals.
Kleoniki Pouikli has been a member of the Utrecht Young Academy, a bridge between young and talented researchers, since 2025.
