Dr. ing. Tom Wennekes

Tom Wennekes is an Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has had his own laboratory for chemical biology and drug research ever since he came to Utrecht in early 2016. He received a Vidi grant in 2015, which he used for his research into the role of sugar codes in communication between our cells and between the cells of other organisms in sickness and in health.

Tom Wennekes has been a member of the Utrecht Young Academy, a bridge between young and talented researchers, since 2017.
