Dr. Divya D.A. Raj
Divya Raj moved from India to the Netherlands to study the changes in the aging brain. She obtained her PhD in Groningen in 2016 and came to Utrecht as a postdoctoral researcher. As a cell biologist by training, Divya is fascinated by how neurons communicate with each other and with neuronal support cells to wire the brain the way it is. She believes the answers to these questions will help understand developmental disorders of the brain and to "train" the aging brain to regenerate one day.
How does the brain wire up?
Divya D.A. Raj has been a member of the Utrecht Young Academy, a bridge between young and talented researchers, since 2018.
