Daniel Kan Memorial Lectures

The Kan lectures are yearly lecture series given by renowned mathematicians. Previous speakers include Michael Hopkins, Graeme Segal, Ib Madsen, Eric Friedlander, Fabien Morel , Luc Illusie, Mikhail Kapranov, John Jones, and Søren Galatius.

2025 Lectures

The 2025 Kan lectures were given by Søren Galatius (Columbia University) under the general title “Graph Complexes and Algebraic K-Theory”.

  • First lecture (December 18th): Graph Complexes and Algebraic K-Theory I.
  • Second lecture (December 19th): Graph Complexes and Algebraic K-Theory II.
  • Third lecture (December 19th): Graph Complexes and Algebraic K-Theory III.

2024 Lectures

The 2024 Kan lectures were given by John Jones (Warwick) under the general title “Exceptional phenomena in geometry and topology”.
