Collaborations
We participate in several (inter)national and multidisciplinary collaborations (see also research projects). We have longstanding partnerships with several organisations. Read more about these partnerships below.
National collaborations
Since 2005, the Dutch Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB) and the division have a collaboration agreement through which we cultivate the Dutch Regulatory Science landscape. The head of MEB’s science department (Marjon Pasmooij) is an affiliated associate professor at the Centre.

Since 2010, we have successfully been collaborating with the Dutch National Health Care Institute (ZIN) on several joint projects, including several ZIN-and EU funded PhD projects as well as. ZIN’s special Health Technology Assessment advisor, Wim Goettsch, has been affiliated with the Centre since 2017, and has been appointed as professor in Health Technology Assessment of Pharmaceuticals in 2022. Since 2017, we are in the Academic Research Network HTA, which aims to form a bridge between research and policy. Our staff members have supervised and guided several PhD students as part of this collaboration. It started with the EU projects on European collaboration on HTA in which the ZIN employee, Sarah Kleijnen, combined the European work with PhD research. Currently, Aukje Mantel is the representative of the Centre in the network, Rianne van den Ham is one of the coordinators and Wim Goettsch is the delegated Professor in the network.

The Regulatory Science Network Netherlands (RSNN) provides a unique platform for stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to meet and engage as equal partners in discussions on regulatory science. Since its foundation in 2015, our Centre has played an important role in RSNN. Emeritus Professor Bert Leufkens was one of the network's founding initiators, and currently, Marieke De Bruin and Marjon Pasmooij serve as co-chairs of its steering committee.

Global networks
We work closely with WHO Headquarters to support global health initiatives.
Collaboration with WHO Collaborating Centres in Pharmaceutical Policy
We actively collaborate with several WHO Collaborating Centres (WHO CCs) in the area of pharmaceutical policies. These collaborations include engagement with the WHO CC for Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information (Vienna), the WHO CC in Pharmaceutical Policy (Boston), the WHO CC for Pharmaceutical Policy and Evidence-Based Practice (Durban), the WHO CC for Governance, Accountability, and Transparency in the Pharmaceutical Sector, the WHO CC for Evidence-Based Research Synthesis and Guideline Development, and the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in the Patient Perspective on Medicines Use (Copenhagen).
To strengthen coordination and knowledge exchange, quarterly meetings are held with these centres, as well as representatives from WHO Headquarters and WHO EURO. These meetings provide a platform for sharing expertise, aligning efforts, and advancing the common goal of improving pharmaceutical policies and practices globally. Through this collaboration, we strive to contribute to evidence-based solutions that address critical challenges in the pharmaceutical sector.
The International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) is the global body for pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences and pharmaceutical education. Aukje Mantel-Teeuwisse serves as a Member of the Executive Committee of the Academic Pharmacy Section of FIP.
