Blue Zones

There is growing interest in so-called "Blue Zones": seven regions around the world where people live remarkably long lives with excellent quality of life. Why is this? What enables these people to live both long and happily? These questions were explored during the public dialogue: Blue Zones: How Can We All Live Long and Happily?
As part of the UU Sharing Days, Van Hier Naar [...] organized a public dialogue on Blue Zones. Together with our speakers, we delved deeper into what is most important for long-term well-being and happiness. We also shared insights on how these principles can be applied in other contexts. One of the key factors appears to be social cohesion. How can we improve health and vitality both locally and nationally? How can we structure society to foster greater interconnectedness? And, ultimately, what does a "good" or "happy" life truly mean?
