- Dr. Sabine Gollner Sabine works at the department of Ocean Systems at NIOZ where she investigates the ecology of deep-sea communities and how these communities are shaped by extrinsic controls and biological interactions over time.
- Dr. Erik de Lange Erik works at the UU Faculty of Humanities and focuses his research on the international history of the sea. Central themes are diplomacy on the sea, the role of maritime violence and imperial expansion across the sea.
