Pathways to Sustainability organizes several sandpits a year. These interactive two-day workshops bring together an interdisciplinary group of scholars around challenge-based topics that resonate within multiple Pathways Communities. Such workshops aim to explore and build project ideas and partnerships. The intended outcome is a collectively developed research proposal. If you have suggestions for topics please let us know.
Participants of a sandpit commit themselves to the open and inclusive design process in which initial ideas may change with the input and integration of various types of expertise. Following each sandpit, a grant of up to 25.000 euro is available for the further development of the project idea by the consortium. Funding can be used, for example, to finance meetings and events; travel and accommodation costs; assistants or other support; facilitators or coaches; external consultancy. Funding should be spent within a year after allocation.
