Quickstart to Research Data Management (On-Demand Workshop)
Are you new to the topic of research data management (RDM)? Or do you want to refresh your memory on the topic? The Quickstart to Research Data Management workshop offers a comprehensive introduction to key aspects of RDM, helping you effectively manage your research data.
This two-hour workshop will introduce you to several concepts and practices in RDM, including:
- Data collection
- Data storage
- Data security
- Data documentation
- Data selection and preservation
- FAIR data
- Data sharing and reuse
By the end of the workshop, you can apply this knowledge to gathering, handling, preserving and sharing your research data and use best practices. This workshop is suitable for all career stages and those interested in learning how to complete a Data Management Plan (DMP).

Prerequisites
No prior knowledge is required to participate in this workshop. This workshop is aimed at researchers working at Utrecht University. Do you work at UMC Utrecht? There is a similar workshop tailored to UMCU researchers, you can contact researchtooling@umcutrecht.nl for more information.

There are no costs associated with this workshop.
Credits
This workshop takes about 2 hours. Due to the short duration of this workshop, you cannot earn ECTS for attending.
