Saving the joint: Biological Strategies to Preserve Cartilage

What was your PhD about?

The main aim of my PhD was to enhance cartilage regeneration and improve regenerative therapies for patients suffering from focal cartilage defects. This problem was approached from different angles, but were all based on biological mechanisms of action.

What is your fondest memory of your time at RMU?

I always liked the open atmosphere in the RMCU. It was easy to talk to people from other groups and share experiences or ask for help. And of course the borrels!

What are you going to do next?

Since January, I have been working as a clinical research associate at a contract research organisation that is mainly focused on pre- and post-market clinical trials with medical devices.
