The Plant Ecophysiology group has a strong tradition in ethylene research, both through our submergence and our shade avoidance research. To this end sensitive ethylene detection systems and ethylene treatment set ups are available in our group.

We use a Sensor Sense (C) photo acoustic ethylene detector available which can measure on six channels on line. This means it measures real-time ethylene emissions of maximally 6 cuvettes in one run. The equipment is hooked up to a climatized growth cabinet which can take various settings for light (duration, intensity, quality) and temperature.
