Education

The theoretical philosophy group offers courses on a broad range of topics: logic, philosophy of language, philosophy of mind, epistemology, philosophy of science, philosophy of artificial intelligence, metaphysics, metaphilosophy, mathematics and complexity theory.

Since the theoretical philosophy group is based in the Department of Philosophy and Religious studies, its lecturers contribute to different programmes of study within this department, such as the BA Filosofie (in Dutch) and the research master Philosophy.

Next to this, the theoretical philosophy group has a long-time involvement in the bachelor and master programmes in Artificial Intelligence. These programmes are a collaboration with Computer Science, Linguistics and Psychology.

In collaboration with colleagues from the Descartes Centre, the group contributes to the MA programme in History and Philosophy of Science. The group also contributes to several minors, elective courses, and the Honours programmes of the Faculty of Humanities.
