Paula Perez Pardo
Paula's work focuses on the role of the gut-brain axis in brain disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and Autism Spectrum Disorders. In vitro and in vivo systems are used in order to better understand how gut microorganisms can trigger brain diseases with the overarching goal of identifying novel diagnostic biomarkers, biological targets as well as developing food concepts for disease prevention and treatment.
She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Spanish Scientists in the Netherlands (Spaanse Wetenschappers in Nederland) (CENL-SWNL).
