Alejandro Lopez Rincon

Alejandro's research interests are mathematical modelling in electrophysiological systems, including finite and boundary element methods for Partial Differential Equations, and design and implementation of applied machine/deep learning techniques for bioinformatics, putting emphasis in feature selection, classification and regression techniques for health sciences. Special topics of interest, include genomic data science applied to cancer and immune and infectious diseases. My main goal is to reduce the gap between computational sciences and health sciences to enable the use of powerful computational techniques in medicine.
