Three-day workshop on NMR sensitivity enhancement at the Utrecht NMR group

June 28-30, 2023

We are pleased to announce a 3-day workshop at the Utrecht NMR group (https://www.uu.nl/en/research/nmr) that will introduce the basic principles of enhanced sensitivity solid-state and solution NMR methods to study large biological complexes. The course will feature morning lectures on the 3 main topics by the following speakers:

  • Methyl-TROSY NMR for large soluble biological complexes

    • Remco Sprangers (Regensburg University)
    • Hugo van Ingen (Utrecht University)
  • Proton detection in solid-state NMR

    • ShengQi Xiang ( University of Science and Technology of China)
    • Markus Weingarth (Utrecht University)
  • DNP-enhanced solid-state NMR

    • Yangping Liu (Tianjin Medical University)
    • Svetlana Pylaeva (Utrecht University)
    • Marc Baldus (Utrecht University)

Each afternoon is reserved for hands-on studies on the available UU NMR equipment including a 1.2 GHz NMR instrument and high-field (800 & 400 MHz) DNP instrumentation.

Course participation is free of charge and we will be happy to provide financial support for travel and accommodation (up to 500 Euros). In addition, catering as well as lab materials will be covered.

This workshop is organized under the umbrella of i.Next Discovery (https://inext-discovery.eu/) and can accommodate a maximum of 12 researchers at PhD or Postdoc level.

To apply, please send a motivation letter and your CV to:
