Recent breakthrough developments such as space-time wavefront shaping, compressive sensing, adaptive optics and optical metrology offer separate approaches to realize improvements. In our group, we aim to realize a new paradigm in imaging in scattering materials by integrating concepts from these distinct fields. Instead of collecting image information in a pixel-by-pixel manner, we approach imaging from the standpoint of optimal information retrieval: What is the information that we need, and how do we obtain it?
