Past conferences

The topic of migration has taken center stage in political, social, and scientific discussions. As wars, conflicts, and climate change continue to uproot people from their homes, urgent debates around integration, discrimination, racism, and the legal frameworks of migration have highlighted the need for a deeper understanding of this complex concept and its history.

To that end, the focus area Migration and Societal Change is organising conferences bi-annually. The first conference took place on June 22nd and 23rd, 2023. The second instalment is currently being planned and organised for June 19th and 20th, 2025. Our thought-provoking and multidisciplinary conferences feature the latest scientific findings and policy approaches related to migration, contributing to the public debate on the issue and inspiring new thinking.

By bringing together a diverse range of perspectives and engaging with the most pressing questions surrounding migration, we hope to shed light on this crucial topic and foster a greater understanding of the challenges and opportunities it presents.
