Mobility & Health
Enhancing and maintaining people's mobility across their life course is an important societal challenge, as mobility is a fundamental to how people function, participate, and live their daily lives. Maintaining and enhancing mobility across the life course is therefore an important societal challenge. Mobility has implications for prevention, functional recovery, rehabilitation, and healthier, more inclusive living conditions. Addressing these challenges requires collaboration across a wide range of disciplines, bringing together knowledge, expertise and innovation to develop and exchange ideas and create meaningful impact on real-world mobility and health challenges.
Mobility is fundamental to healthy, meaningful and fulfilling lives and thriving societies
Connecting knowledge, people and society
Utrecht Mobility & Health brings together researchers, teachers, students, healthcare professionals, policymakers and societal partners from across Utrecht Science Park to build connections around shared challenges in mobility and health. Through community-building, knowledge exchange, and interdisciplinary collaboration, the platform creates opportunities to share expertise, explore emerging developments, and develop new partnerships.
Our mission
Our mission is to bring people, knowledge, and disciplines together to improve people's mobility and health across the life course. By connecting expertise, enabling exchange and building partnerships across science, healthcare, policy and society, we create opportunities for interdisciplinary research, innovation and education that contribute to prevention, functional recovery, rehabilitation and healthier, more inclusive lives.
Our approach
We facilitate, connect and strengthen Mobility & Health initiatives across Utrecht Science Park via three core functions:
- Network - Connecting people and disciplines around shared challenges in mobility and health.
- Exchange - Sharing knowledge, expertise and ideas, and creating opportunities for collaboration.
- Societal Impact - Connecting science with societal partners to address real-world mobility and health challenges.
