Italian Research Seminar Series @ Utrecht (IRSU)

As part of its research platform, Italian at Utrecht University organises a minimum of six research seminars every year, aiming to foster the interdepartmental exchanges – within UU and between UU and foreign institutions – from a range of perspectives and engagement with the core theme of each lecture. The seminars offer an opportunity for Bachelor's and Master's students as well as departmental staff from across a variety of disciplines to meet and discuss about trending topics in Italian studies in a challenging and stimulating atmosphere. Talks are held mostly in English and, occasionally, in Italian with seminal activities and discussion in English.

Series organiser: Matteo Brera (M.Brera@uu.nl)

Italian Cineforum

In 2015 the Italian department launched an Italian Cineforum in which a selection of neorealist films and documentaries was introduced and discussed by specialists and students alike.

A new series is expected to start in 2016 and will be announced on this page.

Organiser and contact person: Matteo Brera, m.brera@uu.nl
