prof. Colin Scott

Colin Scott is Principal of the College of Social Sciences and Law and Professor of EU Regulation & Governance at University College Dublin (UCD). He was Dean of UCD Sutherland School of Law between 2011 and 2014. He is also the Convenor of the European Consortium for Political Research Standing Group on Regulatory Governance.  He is an acclaimed scholar in EU governance, non-state regulation and transnational private regulation. His research interests lie in questions concerning the limits of regulatory governance, processes of accountability and non-state governance. The IOS fellowship will be combined with a RENFORCE fellowship.

Rosi Braidotti is a distinguished Professor at Utrecht University as well as founding director of the Centre for the Humanities in Utrecht. She is an established scholar in the field of continental philosophy and epistemology, feminist and gender theories and post-structuralist thought. She forms a main link between Institutions and the Centers for the Humanities all around the globe.

Paul Craig is Professor of English Law (St. John’s College, Oxford University). Craig, was appointed as RENFORCE and Institutions Fellow in 2014, and in this year he attended several Utrecht assemblies, and participated in the conference ‘In search of European Political Union’ on June 19–21 2014. In 2015 he will return to Utrecht University for several research-visits. His research spans the areas of constitutional law, comparative public law, administrative law, human rights law and EU law. His recent work is on an interdisciplinary and contextual monograph on European public law.

Marco Janssen is Professor at the School of Sustainability and Director of the Center for Behavior, Institutions and the Environment, Arizona State University, Tempe. From 2015 until 2017, he will visit the Institutions programme one month a year around June . He is an expert in computational modelling and experimental methods and applies these methodologies for studying social science problems including institutions for collective action, common pool resources and cooperation. His expertise is of important value to several research areas within Institutions, especially in the subthemes on cooperation and sustainability.
