He has worked on organizational aspects of social cooperation mainly applying formal modelling and computerized laboratory experiments. Moreover, he has used process data to study the institutional set-up of anonymous online markets and the construction of incentives for mutually beneficial online trading through electronic reputation systems. More recently his research has focused on the emergence and maintenance of social norms of cooperation by means of both laboratory and field experiments.
