Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry

The Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry Group studies the chemical composition of the atmosphere, the change in its composition due to anthropogenic emissions, and interactions between atmospheric chemistry and the Earth's climate. Our research focuses on global trace gas budgets, emissions from the biosphere and aerosol-cloud interaction. As tools we use measurements, both in the atmosphere and in the laboratory, and computer models of various complexity.
It is our mission to combine world-class atmospheric research with education of the next generation atmospheric scientists.
