New Directions in the Foundations of Physics
The annual New Directions in the Foundations of Physics conference series has facilitated interdisciplinary discussion about the most fundamental questions regarding our Universe since 2002. New Directions brings together physicists, philosophers, mathematicians, and computer scientists. Key ingredients that contribute to the quality and enjoyability that the conference series is known for are its light speaking schedule with a balanced mix of junior and senior speakers—allowing for ample conversation time—and attendance by a small group of probing discussants (typically 50-60). Since 2020, Utrecht (Guido Bacciagaluppi) is one of the co-organisers of this event. This year the conference moves to a new location, the Logar Valley in Slovenia.
